Challenge

Quiksilver experienced performance plateaus in its self-managed Collaborative Performance Advertising Solution (CPAS) campaigns. While in-house efforts established a stable foundation, the brand struggled to scale seasonal promotions and new product launches effectively. Navigating marketplace algorithms and optimising for higher return on ad spend proved increasingly complex, particularly during peak shopping periods. To avoid stagnation in a highly competitive marketplace, the brand needed a more advanced, performance-led approach to unlock growth and respond to shifting consumer demand.

Celebrate the past. Innovate the future. Live in the now.

Approach

Our approach began with a detailed audit of the existing CPAS account structure to identify inefficiencies in budget allocation and audience targeting. We then developed a restructuring strategy that aligned seasonal collections and new arrivals with high-intent shopper behaviour. By analysing historical performance data, we designed a full-funnel framework to guide users from discovery through to conversion. A key focus was defining how Primal strategically leverages Shopee’s marketplace ecosystem to prioritise high-margin products and maximise efficiency. This ensured ad spend was directed towards the most valuable audience segments while maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Results

Execution started with a complete rebuild of the campaign hierarchy, supported by automated bidding strategies focused on conversion growth. Advanced audience targeting, including custom and lookalike segments, was used to re-engage previous shoppers and attract new customers. Continuous optimisation of bids and creative assets kept performance responsive throughout trading periods. This phase demonstrates how Primal applies data-led optimisation to drive scalable marketplace growth, transforming CPAS into a reliable engine for sustained online revenue and improved return on ad spend for Quiksilver.
